Having a love for people and building relationships, John was inspired to create "5 to 10 in the D" for the pure and simple joy of sharing the stories of inspiring people who live and work in and around the Detroit area.

An ad tech enthusiast, brand builder, consultative seller, content creator, people ambassador and all-around funster, Irvine is a 20+ year Advertising Sales Executive and very active in the Detroit advertising community having been a member of the Adcraft Club of Detroit since 1993.
​
Irvine lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan with his wife Krystyn and daughters Ashlynn and Caitlin. He loves to read, is a musicophile, plays the guitar and sings on the Worship team at his church Cross of Christ Lutheran in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
